Liver Cancer Awareness Month

October is Liver Cancer Awareness Month! Please join the Hepatitis B Foundation and other organizations in recognizing that liver cancer is a serious consequence of untreated hepatitis B. Chronic hepatitis B can lead to liver failure, cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the most common form of liver cancer. Liver cancer rates are rising rapidly, especially among certain communities, including Asian American, Pacific Islander, Alaskan Native, and Hispanic males of nearly 300 million people worldwide live with hepatitis B, increasing their risk. With a five-year survival rate of just 18%, raising awareness about prevention and early detection is critical. Spread the word and prioritize liver health this October!
