August is National Immunization Awareness Month! In the U.S., 70% of adults are not protected against hepatitis B. This August, we're emphasizing the critical role of immunizations. Just a few shots can protect you and your loved ones against hepatitis B for a lifetime. The hepatitis B vaccine is safe and effective, with over 1 billion doses administered worldwide. Hepatitis B is a leading cause of deadly liver cancer, liver scarring, and liver disease. Many adults may not realize their risk factors, such as diabetes. Since hepatitis B often has very few symptoms, prevention is crucial! Get vaccinated. Be protected.
