Julie Lucifora studied molecular and cellular biology at the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Lyon (France) and obtained her PhD from the University of Lyon end of 2008. After 5 years of post-doctoral fellowship at the institute of Virology in Munich (Germany), she got at tenured position at INSERM in France as junior researcher. She currently works at the Centre Internationale de Recherche en Infectiologie (CIRI, INSERM-U1111) on the study of interplay between hepatotropic viruses and the liver microenvironment. She published over 50 PubMed-recorded articles and several book chapters. She received the Young Investigator Award from the European Association for the Study of Liver diseases (EASL) in 2014 and the Gilead Sciences International Research Scholars Program in Liver Disease Award in 2015.
